What is WP in the Community?

WP in the Community offers free WordPress support with an emphasis on helping you to feel confident about owning and managing your site yourself. That may be as simple as answering a nagging doubt. Other times it may be supporting you through a task or helping you to troubleshoot. If you’re needing more hands-on help, WP in the Community is here for you too and can fix things for you so you can quickly get back to other important things.

Who is it for?

Anyone is most welcome to make use of the tools and topics on this site but the primary aim of WP in the Community is to provide free help with WordPress websites for non-profits and community-minded businesses. There is no strict criteria for who can benefit so, if you’re in need of assistance, feel free to reach out and ask.

Free help! What’s the catch?

There is none! You won’t even find affiliate links or paid adverts of any form on this site. WP in the Community is here for your benefit, whilst I benefit too as I enjoy hunting down the cause of issues and fixing problems with WordPress sites. I’m glad to be able to help people who are working hard for the benefit of others. If you want to say thanks for that help, there are a variety of ways to do so, like leaving a review or recommending WP in the Community to others. You are under no obligation though and I know you will already be paying it forward through your work. You can head over to my thank you page to find out more.

What type of help is available?

Feel free to ask me about anything but remember that my time is limited. Enabling you to fix things yourself means I get to help more people, and it hopefully grows your confidence to manage your site yourself. If I’m making a quick fix for you and it turns into something more complicated, I will always do my best to find time to complete the work. If I have space to help with bigger issues from the outset, I will. So feel free to ask and at the very least, if I don’t have the time to help you myself, I will try to point you in the right direction. Remember too that you can seek support directly from the theme and plugin developers, as well as your hosting support for server-related issues. Additionally, a wealth of knowledge can be found in some of the excellent WordPress Facebook groups. You can take a look at my help page for more information on finding and receiving the best help for you.
